Following the success of “Top Gun: Maverick”, Tom Cruise is planning a space movie, a musical and more

Tom Cruise does not stop and after the great success of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, the actor already has several projects on the horizon. These include a film set in space, a surprise musical, a new action thriller that has nothing to do with Mission: Impossible, and a movie about Less Grossman.

As reported by Deadline, Tom Cruise working on five projects after “Top Gun: Maverick” became a box office hit. Some of them had been announced for a couple of years, such as the development of the new action saga films, ‘Mission Impossible’; or the space film that the actor would be planning with NASA and other space experts; but there are others which until now were unknown.

In addition to having development new movies of ‘Mission ImpossibleTom Cruise plans to make a space film directed by Doug Liman and in collaboration with NASA and Elon Musk’s Space X. In turn, the actor plans to develop a musical with which the actor can jump to stardom within this film genre; as well as an action thriller that could also become a franchise and, in addition, a film about the famous character Less Grossman who starred in ‘Tropic Thunder’.

The manufacturer Christopher McQuarrie would work with Tom Cruise on four films from this list, excluding “Mission Impossible” productions. Namely, they will both collaborate to make the space movie, the musical, the new action movie, and the intriguing Less Grossman movie. So far they would have been the only confirmed ones to participate in the making of all these cinematographic works.

At the moment, Tom Cruise has not provided any progress on any of these projects and it is possible that they are at a very early stage of development, since after the premiere of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, the actor has the premiere of ‘ Mission Impossible ‘7 and 8 for 2023 and perhaps it will be his goal for the next few months before thinking about other projects he already plans.
