Fireside Games recently announced release dates for the second edition of Panic at the castle as well as details on the new Crowns and missions expansion. The new edition of the game features new graphics that look really nice and some of the expansions have received some updates to make the game more fluid.
Meanwhile, the Crowns and missions the expansion seems to add quite a bit to the game. There will be 12 playable characters, each with a unique ability for you to harness and join the royal court. Each character will be assigned to a tower, and if that tower is lost, that character and his abilities will also be. Additionally, there are missions that players will have as victory conditions. At the start of the game, 1 standard mission and 1 end game mission are chosen and monsters will keep filling up until those missions are completed. You will need your stamina for this.
The second edition of Panic at the castle will also be available in game stores starting November 30 Crowns and missions and the Panic at the castle Big Box which includes the base game, all four expansions, 6 promotional towers and 7 promotional cards. Then, on January 25, The Tower of the Magician the expansion will be available followed by The Dark Titan on February 22 and Engines of war on March 22.
