The bilingual comedy series from HBO Original Los Espookys will return for its second season on September 16. Created by Fred Armisen, Ana FabregaAnd Giulio Torres, these next 6 episodes will see the return of a group of friends who turn their common passion for horror into a peculiar affair. Here is the synopsis of the second season:
Season 2 sees our charismatic LOS ESPOOKYS leader and gore enthusiast, Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco), haunted by the ghost of a beauty pageant queen, while Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti) enlists an old acquaintance to challenge the status quo. politic. Ursula’s well-meaning sister Tati (Ana Fabrega) is adjusting to her wed life as she hangs in the balance for a new job, and Renaldo’s menacing best friend Andrés (Julio Torres) tries to find the his place in the world after appeasing his inner demons (literally). Meanwhile, Uncle Tico (Fred Armisen) is looking for a new purpose after his waiter career derails.
The show looks absolutely wild. Based on the Season 2 trailer, it appears that they take all the best elements from the soap operas and horror comedies of the past and destroy them together.
