There have been rumors online stating this John Boyega joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in which he has already filmed a secret role in Marvel The wonders. Well, in a recent interview with Men’s Health, the actor closed these rumors and explained that he has no interest in acting in a Marvel movie right now. When asked about it he said:
“It’s not in the vision for me now. I want to do nuanced things … I want to donate my services to original indie films that come with new and fresh ideas, because I know it’s really hard to get past ‘Iron Man’ in that universe. “
Makes a great point. It’s really hard to get past Iron Man, and Marvel hasn’t really been able to get over what they’ve done The saga of infinity. They set an extremely high standard with those films, a standard that will be difficult to stay consistent with.
Boyega’s agent went on to say that the actor’s goal has always been “to disrupt the industry and also make history. For John, it was never about trying to fit in the box. He wants to be the outline of the box. For John, it’s all about responsibility. He doesn’t want to be defined by stereotyped roles ”.
With this being Boyega’s goal, it makes sense that he has no interest in participating in a Marvel movie.
