The second installment of “Joker”, the blockbuster DC film with Joaquin Phoenix, already has a release date. The continuation, titled “Joker: Folie à Deux’m”, will hit theaters next year October 4, 2024. The film will once again see Phoenix, who has already read the script, putting himself back in the shoes of Batman’s archenemy. Also, the film will again be directed by Todd Phillips.

According to The Wrap, sources close to filming the film say much of the film’s development will take place in Arkham Asylum.. This place is a well known scenario within the “Batman” saga. Said scenario is a kind of asylum for delinquents where most of Bat Man’s enemies have been found in the comics.
On the other hand, as reported by various media only a few months ago, DC is in talks with artist Lady Gaga to incorporate her into the film. The famous singer, who we have already seen playing major roles in films such as “A Star Is Born” or “The House of Gucci”, would become the famous Harley Quinn.
High expectations
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ will have a very high bar for the great success of the first episode. “Joker” has become one of the highest-grossing comic films of all time. After winning the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival, the film garnered twelve Oscar nominations. One of these twelve, he ended up becoming his first career statuette for Phoenix for the role of Arthur Fleck.
