As you know, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is intended to star in Sony Kraven the hunter Marvel movies. Speaking earlier about the character, the actor described him as an “animal lover,” which, as you can imagine, angered fans. How can Kraven be an animal lover !? He hunts them down and kills them! Well, Taylor-Johnson recently talked about the character and clarified that statement, and explains that Kraven will be the “we all want to see” hunter.
In an interview with CB, the actor was asked if Kraven would still have that “big lion’s mane” in the film, and this was his response:
“I can’t confirm any details or anything. And besides, I guess it was probably a little bit out of context and then executed. I mean, I think you know what I meant, what he actually claimed was that he was a protector of the natural world. I said and he’s an environmentalist, which is probably more accurate, and then he should have stopped there, full stop, he shouldn’t have gone any further because, yeah, I think you know you really have to understand, yeah, he is a hunter and from that hunting world and there are so many aspects. What I love about that character is that what he is humanizing is that he has flaws, right? Kraven is a beautiful character. Sergei Kravinov is a beautiful character because he is someone who is understanding really themselves and has flaws. This is a character that was built centuries ago and is in a new time and was, but yeah, will he be the hunter we all want to see? Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. “
I hope he is right! I would love nothing more than to see a great Kraven movie, but with this movie coming from Sony, I don’t expect much. Maybe it will end up being better than what I expect.
JC Chandor is directing the film from a screenplay by Marco art And Matt Holloway (Iron man), and is also the protagonist Ariana De Bose like Calypso, Russell Crowe like Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger like Chameleon, Alessandro Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, And Take the 22 star Cristoforo Abate as the main villain, The Foreigner.
