“Secret Invasion” with Samuel L. Jackson is confirmed as a “crossover” of the MCU

Among the many projects that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has in development with Disney + is the “Secret Invasion” series, starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. So far, there have been very few details about her, but it has recently been confirmed that his story will feature a major crossover within this superhero world.

The ‘Secret Invasion’ series was announced in 2022 and since then very little is known about its development, fortunately little by little some small details have been revealed and one of the most recent has to do with what can be seen in its history in all its chapters.

According to the Disney Plus portal, ‘Secret Invasion ‘is an MCU crossover series who will unite several superheroes to fight the invasion of Earth at the hands of the Skrulls. While it doesn’t reveal much beyond that, the brief synopsis makes it clear that within its story, several Marvel characters can be seen to coincide for this new mission.

So far, it has only been confirmed that ‘Secret Invasion ‘will star Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, who have already been part of several installments of the MCU, most notably in the Avengers saga. While the rest of his cast and characters of him are completely unknown, so it is unknown who the happy crossover would be made with.

Crossover theories in ‘Secret Invasion’

Ever since this series was announced by Marvel and Disney +, some fans have begun to theorize what would be dealt with in the series and who would be a part of it besides Nick Fury. Based on the homonymous comics of the house of ideas, some have pointed out that ‘Secret Invasion ‘would tell about the Skrull invasion of Earth and that there might be large cameos in it.

Among the cameos proposed for this new UCM series, the great debut of the X-Men stands out, as, in the Marvel comics, Professor Xavier and the mutants join Nick Fury and Talos in their battle against the Skrulls. There is also speculation that it might have some kind with “The Marvels”, the sequel to “Captain Marvel”; but so far nothing is certain.

“Secret Invasion” is expected to premiere on Disney Plus until 2023, but there is currently no confirmed release date or day to expect on the streaming platform. Before its arrival on the digital service, we will see the premiere of “Black Panther” and other UCM projects that may give some sign of being connected to the series or not.
