The Prequel to “Game of Thrones”, “House of the Dragon”‘, celebrated its premiere recently, where critics were able to enjoy the first episodes of the new series which is part of the universe of the television adaptation of the literary saga by George RR Martin, A Song of Fire and Ice. First impressions of the spin off raised hopes and expectations as it was completely removed from the original series.

Through social networks, several film and television critics who were able to attend the premiere of the spin off GOT, gave their first impressions and reactions to the first chapter of ‘House of the Dragon’. Most agree that this is the beginning of the “Game of Thrones” claim, after the end of this series that many fans and industry pundits completely hated.

Although none of the comments fell into a blinding infatuation, perhaps due to the story of the last few seasons of “Game of Thrones”; they accepted that “House of the Dragon” could be considered a great option to continue the legacy of GOT in order to bring back that universe that first debuted on screen in 2011 and took over the whole world.

In the case of The Wrap’s Brandon Kratz, consider ‘House of the Dragon is a perfect “successor” to GOT; Collider’s Steven Weintraub notes that “it’s well done and the season looks fantastic”; Black Girl Nerds’ Cat Combs thinks it’s “awesome” and hopes it won’t end up as “Game of Thrones”.

“House of the Dragon” explains the context and relationship with GOT, introduces its main characters and shows the main conflict of the series […] You are absolutely a worthy successor [de GOT]”Said Brando Katz of The Wrap.

These first impressions have already left a lot to talk about and raised the expectations and hopes of some fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ and George RR Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice; however, some others are wary that “House of the Dragon” will actually win them back after the hated GOT finale.
