HBO has released a compelling trailer and new poster for the found footage documentary Princess, on the life and fame of Princess Diana. The film premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and was made by the acclaimed British documentarian Ed Perkins (Garnet gold, Tell me who I am).
The synopsis of the document reads:
Oscar-nominated director Ed Perkins’ documentary film Princess tells the story of Princess Diana exclusively through contemporary archival footage that creates a bold and engaging narrative of her life and death. Turning the camera to ourselves, the film illuminates the profound impact it had and how the public’s attitude towards the monarchy has been, and still is, shaped by these events.
It feels like a sad and captivating film that takes viewers into the worst aspect of Diana’s life, the media that has constantly surrounded her and built a negative narrative around her every decision and facial expression. HBO will release Princess streaming on HBO Max on August 13th. Check out the trailer and poster below and let us know if you will watch.
