During the San Diego Comic-Con, the news of the first film came from Avatar Studios. During a panel, Janet Varney from whom is Korra’s voice The legend of Korra and host for the podcast Avatar: challenging the elements revealed that the first feature film from Avatar Studios will focus on the original band everyone loves, Gaang! During the panel, he said:
Hello Avatar: Braving the Elements podcast friends and Avatar verse lovers! It’s me, Janet, and I’m so sad not to be at San Diego Comic-Con with Dante and all of you. I just read a bit as I recovered, and it reminded me that we actually have some exclusive news on Avatar Studios for all of you! Now, there has been a lot of rumors, a lot of speculation, and a lot of excitement – I feel it too. But we thought it was time to set the record straight. Avatar Studios’ first feature film will focus on Avatar Aang and his friends, and I for myself can’t wait!
Unfortunately, that’s all we know in terms of the plot. It had already been announced Lauren Montgomery (Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender) will direct the film e Bryan Konietzko (Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender), Michele Di Martino (Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender), And Eric Coleman (Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender) are producing it. The untitled film will be the first of the three planned Avatar and I’m very interested to see how it turns out. What do you hope we will see in the film?
