I have to see the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania at Comic-Con last weekend, and this is going to be a very different kind of Ant-Man movie, and it looks like a blast! The film will take audiences on a wild ride into the Quantum Realm.
According to the director Peyton Reed, the film will be bigger and more epic than the previous films. He explained to Entertainment Weekly:
“We were thrilled to be able to do a third Ant-Man movie and do a trilogy. And we knew that if we did, we would want to do some things differently. We really wanted to make a left turn and making a movie was still more epic, but it still progresses the story of these family dynamics and everything that is going on between Scott, Hope and Cassie. “
Heroes of History – Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hope van Dyne’s wasp (Evangeline Lilli), and Cassie Lang (Catherine Newton) will face an extremely dangerous enemy, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). When it comes to that villain, Reed said:
“We also knew we wanted to pit our heroes against a very, very formidable opponent. I grew up reading comics and knew the character of Kang the Conqueror, who is one of the big and bad characters in comics, so being able to put our own heroes against Kang the Conqueror has been a huge thing for us. We have grown up and we have also grown small. “
The film will also introduce MODOK into the film and sport an interesting and trendy metallic look. The trailer that was shown to us shows the character being sucked into the Quantum Realm, where Kang warns them that they are over their heads. They will be joined by Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michele Douglas).
Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania will be released on February 17, 2023.
