The new movie “Dungeons and Dragons” was one of the people responsible for starting the first day of San Diego Comic-Con. The event opens its doors to the public on Thursday 21 July, but early access was already allowed to the press on Wednesday. After two years of virtual detention, Comic-Con returns this year in person.
Although in the next few days we will learn more details about the new production set in the famous role-playing game, on Wednesday some details of the film were leaked as the first poster. In it, we can see the different monsters in the board game universe on a large black background. Also, as the lower part of the poster indicates, the film will not be released in theaters until 2023, to be exact until March 3.

The film is directed by Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley and stars Chris Pine and Regé-Jean Page.. They are joined by a cast consisting of Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant. Thanks to a video recorded by Variety we got a first glimpse of the character and the kind of role each of these actors could have.

Pine appears to be a bard, as the lute that comes out playing during the first few seconds of the video seems quite significant. For its part, Rodríguez appears brandishing an ax which makes us believe he is a warrior. Page, on the other hand, is presented with a sword and large armor, which suggests he may be a gentleman. At the same time, Smith and Lillis certainly embody magicians or characters with supernatural powers. In the end, Grant concludes the sequence by showing us his character, who could very well be a professor or a businessman.. She wears a large long dress while holding a flashlight in her hand, ending with a cup of tea.
What else can we expect from Comic-Con 2022?
In this first face-to-face edition since 2019, it is expected that many of the big projects that will see the light in the near future will be presented to fans during the event. ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ or ‘The House of the Dragon’ are some of the projects that are sure to play an important role during the San Diego Comic-Con celebration.
