Although it has been more than a year since “Justice League Snyder Cut” premiered on HBO Max, the controversy over the DC Comics movie continues, as now Warner Bros. has revealed that the campaign to make the director’s cut possible it has been powered by bots, as well as receiving alleged threats from Zack Snyder himself.

Behind the Zack Snyder is shooting ‘The League of Justice’, Warner Bros and DC Comics have been looking for a new director who could replace him, and they found Joss Whedon, who came from Marvel to do “Avenger: Age of Ultron”. And given the film’s results, fans have been calling for the director of ‘300’ to return, despite the fact that he was already working for Netflix.

It all ended in the launch of ‘Justice League Snyder Cut’ on HBO Max, instead, the magazine rolling stone opened an investigation into the case. Well, according to reports, Warner Bros reported that at least 13% of accounts that supported the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement on social media were fake.

Although it was mostly fans of the director himself who promoted the campaign, the impact on the networks was greater thanks to the use of bots and fake accounts. The report mentions that, among the content of these profiles, there was “negative activity”, which was reflected, among other things, in threats to Warner executives.

Zack Snyder threatened Warner with removing two executives

According to the Rolling Stone report, Zack Snyder asked to remove Geoff Johns and Jon Berg from the credits of ‘Snyder cut from the Justice League’, which he mentioned were responsible for his departure from Warner. After weeks of no response, the director threatened WB, explaining, “They are taking time to remove their names from my court. Now I will destroy them on social media. “

Deborah Snyder, the director’s wife, is even said to have intervened in the request to remove the names of Warner executives, but there were no results. It was only when the company saw the scale of the social media campaign that it finally decided to retire them.

The Rolling Stone report was replicated by Warner, so now the company definitely seems to want nothing to do with Zack Snyder, even as fans are clamoring for his return. Therefore, it is expected that, in the coming days, new information will be revealed on what really happened with ‘Justice League’.
