On July 15, 34 years have passed since ‘Jungla de cristal’ was released in US theaters.. However, the film directed by John McTiernan and starring Bruce Willis did not reach the big screen in our country until September 30, 1988. The impact of the film was such that it gave life to a saga that ended up having three more episodes, ending in 2007 with the premiere of ‘La Jungla 4.0’.

In the first episode, New York Police Officer John McClane, played by Willis, visits the Nakatomi Plaza where his wife works on Christmas Eve. During the visit, the skyscraper is stormed by a group of terrorists and McClane becomes the person in charge of keeping the hostages alive. Emma Heming Willis, the actor’s wife, shared the following video through her Instagram account where we can see her husband on top of the famous building 34 years later:

Video mixes black and white images of the actor who is currently visiting the roof of the building with scenes from “Jungla de cristal”. In turn, it is accompanied by the Hymn to Joy belonging to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which gives it the final touch to make the publication particularly exciting, especially for fans of the film. The skyscraper is actually located in the city of Los Angeles and is known as Fox Plaza, the headquarters of the 20th Century Fox film company.
Retired for aphasia
at the beginning of the year, Willis announced he was forced to retire because he suffers from aphasia, a neurological disease that directly affects speech and the ability to communicate. In this bitter way, the actor of “El Protegido” ended a successful career in which we can highlight his appearance in films such as “The Sixth Sense”, “Pulp Fiction” or “Armageddon”, among many others.
