‘Loki’: Rafael Casal signs for season 2 and rumors emerge about his outstanding character

The second season of “Loki”, a wonderful series starring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, is already immersed in London filming. Right from the streets of that British city the first images are leaking of the upcoming television drama set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which sees Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson (“Moon Knight”) direct.

From the hand of the aforementioned photos, they began to unleash rumors about the character who, according to Deadline, would be played by Rafael Casal, an actor who has just signed on to the series. This performer, who we recently saw in ‘Blindspotting’, is already walking through some scenes with Hiddleston and Wilson.

Casal, along with Daveed Diggs, wrote, produced and starred in the 2018 film Blindspotting; film that inspired a series released earlier this year. This spin-off, co-created by Casal and Diggs, who are also executive producers; featured Casal himself reprising his role from the film and was renewed for a second season.

The mysterious character of Casal

Most of the tweets dedicated to showing what’s happening in the filming of the second season of “Loki” focus on highlighting the stars of the series, but a couple of posts revealed a few more details. In addition to the presence of several posters with Kingo, the Bollywood actor played by Kumail Nanjiani in ‘Eternals’, you can see several winks at Zaniac, a wonderful character who is associated with the incorporation of Casal.

This actor would give life to Brad Wolfe, a character who ends up transforming into Zaniac in the comics. The killer villain who would become one of the biggest additions of season 2, arises after Wolfe is possessed by a dark entity that would cause him to develop an overwhelming thirst for blood and an uncontrollable desire to kill women. We will have to wait to find out if this is finally Casal’s role in a second season that It doesn’t have a release date yet..
