Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming film Orphan horror thriller prequel Orphan: first kill. Isabelle Fuhrman He reprints her as Esther, which is odd given that she’s a 24-year-old woman who plays a younger version of the 9-year-old character. She initially played this character in the original movie when she was 12.
It was explained that to make it Orphan: first kill, the filmmakers used “a combination of forced perspective shooting and a team of world-class makeup artists.” I’m still not sure if it really works that well as Esther looks definitely older than she was in the first movie and she is supposed to look younger. But, at the same time, she doesn’t appear to be 24. They did their best!
“The terrifying saga of Esther continues in this gripping prequel to the original and shocking horror hit, Orphan. After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America as the missing daughter of a wealthy family. However, there is an unexpected turn that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous “child” at any cost.
It’s more or less the same story as the original film. The film was directed by William Brent Bell (The boy, the separation) from a script written by David Coggeshall (He shouted TV series) wrote the script. He is also the protagonist Giulia Stiles And Rossif Sutherland.
Speaking earlier about the whole de-aging process, Fuhrman said: “I love the challenge of being able to play a child because historically it has never been done in the cinema – I was like watching all of this, because I love watching old movies history and stuff. like that, and I thought, “Oh, an adult never reprized the role he played as a kid. Will Smith, for example, recently shot that movie [Gemini Man] where they age someone, but reprising a role you literally played as a kid as an adult has never been done before. It is a little impossible. And we did it. We didn’t use special effects, we didn’t use crazy tricks. And I think that’s what makes the movie work, it’s because you can’t really understand how I look like a [nine-year-old], but I do. And it’s really disturbing ”.
Orphan: first kill will arrive in select theaters, Digital and Paramount + on August 19th.
