“Moon Knight” leads Marvel and Disney + nominations at the 2022 Emmy Awards

The Emmy Awards 2022 has announced all of its nominees of this edition and, curiously, the Marvel and Disney series failed to sweep the ceremony away on this occasion. The collaboration of these two companies for UCM productions has only garnered 19 nominations in total, and the vast majority of them come from “Moon Knight”.

Knight of the Moon

One of Marvel and Disney series which have been totally critically acclaimed since its premiere is “Moon Knight”, a delivery which, in turn, has not convinced all UCM fans. With everything and this division, it is the production of the mouse company and the house of ideas that has garnered the most nominations at the 2022 Emmy Awards, as it is in 8 categories.

Interestingly, the protagonist of ‘Knight of the Moon’, Oscar Isaac, was nominated for Best Actor for a Drama Series, but not specifically for this Marvel and Disney + series. The actor managed to enter this category thanks to his lead role in “Scenes from a Wedding”, where he shared the screen with Jessica Chastain as a beautiful and realistic couple.

Loki

The production that surprised many by not being at the top of the rankings Marvel nominees for the 2022 Emmy Awards is ‘Loki’ with Tom Hiddleston. The series was a favorite in many categories of this edition of the television and film ceremony, however it only managed to be nominated for six.

What happens if…?

Although “What if …?” It hasn’t had much attendance in movie awards since it was released in late 2021, its story about the alternate world of superheroes managed to stand out at the 2022 Emmy Awards with three nominations, leading the animation category.
