
Universal Pictures has released another featurette for director Jordan Peele’s upcoming sci-fi horror film No. This focuses on Peele and the cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema shoot the movie using IMAX technology.
In the video, Peele describes the film as his most ambitious project to date in terms of large-scale and elaborate film production. Meanwhile, Hoytema reveals how exhilarating it is for him to bring Peele’s incredible vision to life.
No is described as a “new pop nightmare” and an “expansive horror epic”. The story centers on a brother and sister, played by Daniel Kaluya And Keke Palmerwho runs a horse training ranch for Hollywood productions in a lonely Californian gorge.
They witness a disturbing and chilling discovery as UFOs are seen flying around. One of the points of the plot is that these characters use the opportunity of this alien invasion to become rich and famous by filming the UFO, “the heist of money”.
The film is also the protagonist Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja), Michael Wincott (Hitchcock, Western world), And Brandon Perea (The OA, American uprising). The film will be distributed by Universal Pictures and will be released in theaters on July 22.
