Sylvester Stallone becomes a superhero for Amazon Prime Video’s “Samaritan” – Coretsia (Amazon Prime Video)
The catalog of Amazon Prime Video will soon receive Sylvester Stallone as superhero in “Samaritan”‘, a new film based on the comic of the same name in which a hero everyone thought was dead returns from the unknown to continue his legacy of good.
MGM has been developing ‘Samaritan’ since 2019, when it was announced that it had obtained the rights to the comic of the same name created by Bragi F. Schut to adapt its story to the big screen, or in this case, to the girl, since it will arrive at streaming platforms. Three years later, its first trailers were finally revealed, raising expectations.
The new look of the film is a poster of Sylvester Stallone as “Samaritan”, a long-believed missing and even dead superhero; but, fortunately, he is found by a guy who will be played by Javon Walton of “Euphoria”. The image shows the two faces of the character: the common one and that of his heroic alter ego who tries to help the world and its people.
Additionally, this new advance comes with the revelation of the release date of “Samaritan” on Amazon Prime Video, which will be next August 26th. Although, hopefully, before the date approaches, audiences will be able to see the official trailer for the long-awaited superhero movie.
Sylvester Stallone returns to the world of superheroes with ‘Samaritan’
While Sylvester Stallone has a very broad film career, there have been very few times he has been in a superhero movie. One of the most remembered is ‘The Suicide Squad’, where he became King Shark, who despite having moments of lucidity; he is rather considered a DC Comics anti-hero.
With “Samaritan”, the actor truly becomes a superhero, albeit far from having a history similar to the Marvel or DC Comics movies. In this film, the actor enters a slightly more dramatic storyline and also with a thriller twist, where the rebirth of hope will be seen by the hero that everyone thought was no longer on this plane.
Although of course it cannot be forgotten that he also played heroes who without capes have had a great impact not only in the films in which he plays but also in the audience that sees him, as in the case of the film saga ‘Rocky’, which are also on Amazon. Prime Video.
