Just over a month ago, actor Johnny Depp emerged victorious in the media libel trial against Amber Heard. In said process, The ‘Aquaman’ star was sentenced to pay her ex-husband about $ 10 million. In turn, the protagonist of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ was also sentenced to pay her $ 2 million.

After this controversial legal process, Depp joined guitarist Jeff Beck on tour around the UK, playing together in several concerts. Now both friends they will release a new album titled 18 which will be released on July 15th. In the, Depp wrote the only two original songs on the albumsince the rest of the songs that make up the album are all versions of songs written by other groups.
Thanks to a review of the album by The Sunday Times, we learned that, In the first single titled “This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr”, written by Depp, the actor sings the following: “I think you said enough for a damn night”. In turn, in another issue Depp refers to economic issues: “You’ve been sitting there like a mad dog for seven years … If I had a coin, I wouldn’t even touch your hand.”. Quite hard and surprising phrases that caught the attention of even Beck himself. Several reporters assume that these sentences refer to his ex-wife and the trial, but Depp has neither confirmed nor denied these assumptions.
Amber Heard tries to overturn the sentence
While Depp appears to be using music as an escape to leave controversy behind, Heard’s lawyers continue to ask for a mistrial. To do so, they claim a lack of credibility within the jury, ensuring that a member of that jury present at the trial was not really the person they claimed to be and this invalidates the whole process.
