Taika Waititi tells those hoping for a four-hour cut of THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER: “Director’s cuts aren’t good”

Thor: Love and thunder finally hit theaters last weekend, and it was a lot of fun! But apparently, there are some fans who want more. After a report was released stating that the film had many scenes that weren’t cut, including those included Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster, as well as the characters played by Peter Dinklage And Lena HeadeyFans began to wonder if an extended director cut could see the light of day, with the hashtag #ReleaseTheWaititiCut gaining momentum.

Waititi weighed the concept, telling New Musical Express:

“I thought about the director’s cuts. I look at the director cuts of many other directors. They suck. The director’s cuts are not good. Directors need to be checked sometimes and if I were to say, ‘Ah you wanna watch my director’s cut? It’s four and a half hours! ‘ Not good at four and a half hours. There are a lot of breaks for a cup of tea in there, you don’t even have to pause it. “

Just because it worked Zack Snyder’S Justice League, which was a special circumstance, does not mean that this should become a trend. While Waititi is not down with the possibility of a “Waititi cut” of Thor: Love and thunderthe director again shared some ideas on what his extended version of the film would look like, saying:

“I’d say my cut would probably contain a few more bars. There may be a couple of deleted scenes but as I always say one scene gets deleted because it’s not good enough to be in the movie. I think the deleted scenes section on the DVD, not that they use them anymore, should just be a list of the scenes and no links, so you can’t click on them!

It’s good that it cleared the air, so we don’t have to keep hearing about it as a possibility. I think it would be fun to watch the scenes with the actors who ended up completely cut out of the movie, or to hear the eerie scream that Christian Bale mentioned his evil character Gorr the God Butcher released in a scene that was cut. But we don’t need to see all of these movie-related scenes.

Thor: Love and thunder is playing in theaters all over the world. Go check it out if you haven’t had the chance!
