20th Century Studios has released the director’s first trailer David O. Russellis coming movie, Amsterdam. Russell may be the kind of director it’s a pain in the ass to work with, but he makes great movies and Hollywood actors want to work with him.
This next film of his has assembled an impressive cast that includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Robert De Niro, Anya Taylor Joy, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Timoteo Olifante, Michael Shannon, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro NivolaAnd Taylor Swift.
Amsterdam is set in the 1930s and “follows a trio of friends who witness a murder and become suspects themselves as they try to figure out what is really going on.” It is described as “a fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly intertwines historical facts and fiction.” Bale and Washington portray two soldiers, while Robbie plays a nurse, and find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history.
Looks like another great Russell movie! The boy knows how to tell a story. Amsterdam will be released in November 2022.
