Back in February we commented that “Loki” had planned to start shooting the second season this summer. This was revealed by a website specializing in casting announcements, ensuring that in the summer season the UK would receive the team of this television drama set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now we know that the plans went as planned, because this series is already immersed in its production in Londona city that is the setting for new episodes of the God of evil.

The confirmation comes from the hand of a handful of images and videos of the leaked footage, some photos where you can see Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson dressed up (bow tie included). Thus the team, led by ‘Moon Knight’ directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson; already poses a second series of episodes which, in addition to not having first season director Kate Herron, she also doesn’t have her own screenwriter. Michael Waldron himself was in charge of confirming that he would not continue developing the “Loki” storyline, revealing his commitment to another project; “obviously I’m a little busy writing a certain little ‘Star Wars’ movie.”something that, for the moment, continues in limbo. Eric Martin takes over in the new season of which the details of its plot have not yet been revealed.
The little that is known comes to us from these leaked photos, including a reference to ‘Eternals’, the wonderful ‘Chloé Zhao’ film. The wink appears on the facade of a London film set for the series, place where you can see the poster of a fantasy movie with Kingo, the Bollywood actor played by Kumail Nanjiani in the aforementioned film she also had Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek or Kit Harington. Other posters come with Easter eggs referencing multiple Marvel characters, including Zaniac and Phone Ranger.

The importance of “Loki”
Many fans already took this for granted, but in case Kevin Feige wants to clarify the situation: We have seen the origin of the multiverse which forms the backbone of most of the plots of this wonderful Phase 4 in ‘Loki’. Trying to specify exactly when the multiversal crack arises and the temporal order of its consequences, which we have guessed were simultaneous; Feige points out that the jumps between alternative universes can occur thanks to the crack that is generated when Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) kills The One Who Remains (Jonathan Majors).
“The One Who Remains is missing, and that allowed a spell to go wrong in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ and drive the multiverse crazy in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness””. We will see how it all connects in the second season which currently does not have a release date.
