After a chapter as impressive as Herogasm, the seventh episode of ‘The Boys’ has arrived, and among so many revelations about the plot and its characters, it has finally been told more about the mysterious past of Black Noir, which had been an enigma during all the seasons of the series.

And it is that in addition to the impressive final revelation of the sixth chapter of the Amazon Prime Video superhero series, The story arc of Black Noir has finally had a development, and not only that, but many of the fans of the series have remembered cartoons like “Looney Tunes” or even the classic Disney “Snow White”.

But beyond the cartoons, the seventh episode of ‘The boys’ revealed more about Black Noir of what was known so far about the character played by Nathan Mitchell. And it looks like he has more to do with Soldier Boy and Homelander than previously thought, as well as these superintendents’ past with Vought.

To start, Black Noir was part of Payback at one point, the team of super soldiers led by Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), and which was revealed in a flashback due to his time in Nicaragua. And this explains her faithful behavior to the figure that Homelander currently represents

Black Noir, Payback and Soldier Boy’s past in “The Boys”

During most of the episodes of the third season of “The Boys” on Amazon Prime Video, we heard from Soldier Boy that Black Noir was just taking orders, but what was he referring to? Jensen Ackles’ character belittled and abused Noir in front of the Paybacks, who agreed they went too far, even breaking his skull.

After surviving the beating, Black Noir agrees to help Stan Edgar come up with a plan to capture Soldier Boy, which he confirms without batting an eye. And what would explain that after years of mistreatment by the Payback leader, Black Noir now seeks in Homelander a powerful enough figure to be loyal to, in order not to have problems somehow.

Also, Black Noir probably knows that in order to defeat Soldier Boy, Homelander is the only one who can resist him, and even more so with his help on his side. In contrast, Butcher and Hughie with the 24-hour Compound V were able to hold their own against the Patriot, so if a final showdown can close the third season of “The Boys”, it could be among those 5.
