Bondit’s Buffalo 8 hired Adam Harry Engelhardt to manage B8 production and services.
The manager previously founded and ran the literary production and management firm Mailroom Entertainment. He is currently working with Dana Brunetti on two projects starring Lucy Liu and Vanessa Hagen. Engelhardt started his career at ICM before moving into production.
In Buffalo 8, he runs the business of B8 Services, which works with independent filmmakers to develop, package and sell projects by budget and genre.
Buffalo 8 is part of BondIt Media Capital, which includes ABS Payroll, and has financed more than 400 feature film and television projects over a nine-year period. It significantly raised its profile on Covid at a time when funding was particularly tight. The firm is currently post-producing the original Netflix original crime series, which will premiere later in 2022.
Engelhardt said Buffalo 8 and BondIt Media Capital “have a synergy needed to light up more independent films than ever before.”
“Adam has critical early experience in content development, packaging, and most importantly, early physical production,” said BondIt CEO Matthew Holderman, adding that he is “new to the spectrum of demands from the content market.
