Your spider sense probably didn’t warn you, but we have news of ‘Madame Web’, the new movie in the ‘Spider-Man’ universe that Sony and Marvel Studios are preparing. As for the purchases, Emma Roberts, known for the series “Scream Queens”, “American Horror Story” and the films “Paradise Hills” or “The Hunt”, has joined the cast. It is unknown which character Roberts will play, nor who will play his confirmed co-stars: Isabela Merced, Sydney Sweeney and Celeste O’Connor. It is clear only that Dakota Johnson will be the Cassandra Webb who gives the title to the film.
The only male name we know for now that will be in front of the cameras is that of Tahar Rahim. Direction is handled by SJ Clarkson, who has worked mainly in television series such as ‘Collateral’, ‘The Defenders’ or ‘Dexter’. The screenplay for “Madame Web” is signed by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless on a previous work by Kerem Sanga, and we know little about its plot: That its protagonist is a mutant with precognitive and clairvoyant abilities and who is usually depicted as an elderly woman attached to a life support system. She is not an enemy but an ally of Peter Parker and the film will be an origin story.

Physical transformation begins
The premiere of ‘Madame Web’ is set, for now, for July 7, 2023, so, as we learned through Johnson, its filming will begin this summer, in fact in July 2022. The actress has granted an interview to Vanity Just in which he also revealed that he began his workout to gain muscle mass before what is his first full-fledged action movie: “In July he will be in an unfamiliar location on the set of his first action movie, ‘Madame Web,’ so he’s flexing his muscles a bit so he can do as many action scenes as possible and the insurance policy allows: “I think I can probably do some things like Tom Cruise,” she says excitedly.
In recent years we have seen Johnson in “The Dark Daughter”, “Personal Assistant” and “The Family You Choose” and in 2022 “Persuasion” will premiere on Netflix on July 15, ‘Bailando por la vida’ which is now available on Appe TV + and ‘Am I OK?’ no date in our country.
