Michael Rooker is set to return to collaborate Henry: Portrait of a serial killer director John McNaughton for a new vigilante film project titled road ragewhich will be the first in a series of films.

The film is described as “in the mood for Right and the great Avengers movies of the ’70s ”and the story“ will focus on a serial killer who kills only those who deserve to die, presenting a modern hero who is a villain turned good, protects the innocent and punishes the guilty. “

It seems like a great project for these two talents to come together on. McNaughton shared in a statement: “I have wanted to work with Michael Rooker again since, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, but we never got the chance. Eventually, I wrote a story that took the genre in a whole new direction. Michael Rooker as Stony; he drives a truck … and kills people. Stony is the latest serial killer … with a twist, and after twenty years he will return home to settle the past.

The film is produced by Tim Perellwho added: “With road rage, John McNaughton and Michael Rooker once again aim to create a transgressive and shocking film that will exist at the forefront of art and genre. How Enrico it was ahead of its time, then road rage it will be ahead of this time; a disturbing and exhilarating reflection of contemporary American culture ”.

This is not a new concept, but maybe they will tell it in a different way that will make it unique. We’ll see, but I think it’s great that these two talents are back together again to work on the project.

In addition to the film, Process Media will collaborate with entertainment studio, iNK Stories, to develop a road rage video game: offers an interactive experience where the audience can participate in the expanded story world.

If you’ve never seen it Henry: Portrait of a serial killer , you have to watch it! It’s a great movie.
