Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are the cowboys in the new live “Barbie” leaks.

The live action of ‘Barbie’ directed by Greta Gerwing Filming is currently underway and that gave the film the opportunity to have leaks, revealing a bit of what the development of the film looks like. Among the most recent is a series of photographs of Margot Robbie and Ryan Golsing as cowboy versions of their characters, the Mattel Doll and the “handsome Ken” respectively.

Previously, Warner Bros. released the first glimpses of “Barbie” live: in one, Margot Robbie looked identical to the image of a “Barbie Girl”; and in the other, Ryan Gosling sported a peerless blonde with a tan that few will forget. These looks showed that, in fact, the two actors would become classic versions of the famous toys.

However, the new leaks of this Warnes Bros film revealed that this story has many surprises, because it is far from its “classic looks”, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling look like Barbie and Ken cowboy: they wear jeans, western-style outfits and yes, pink touches that avoid forgetting who is dealing with this long-awaited film.

With these new images, audiences were confused as to what to expect from the “Barbie” live action story. Although yes, they have made it clear that the world has to expect the unexpected for this production that has sparked a lot of fury since it was announced and that it will take some time to reach theaters, as it will open until July 21, 2023.

A romantic comedy with the “Barbieverse”

Although there are not many details on the history of the live action of ‘Barbie’ at the moment, Warner Bros has revealed that it is a romantic comedy of the famous Mattel doll that, more than 60 years after its release and the gigantic franchise, for the first time the time has a movie with real people and programmed to reach the big screen.

The plot of this romantic comedy is completely unknown, but rumors have emerged about one aspect that could be the key to the story: the existence of a “Barbieverse”. It was at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 that this theory began to spread, which, he points out, could give three versions of the doll with Margot Robbie, Issa Rae and Hari Nef; while Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu and Ncuti Gawta would give life to three other versions of Ken.
