Diary of a spy released a new trailer ahead of their VOD release on July 14 in North America. Directed by Adam Christian Clark and protagonist Tamara Taylor, Rece WeAnd Fred Melamed, the film is a romantic drama based on a true story. Since he’s a spy, I wonder how truth-based he is and how much he was embellished to fill in the gaps, but here’s the synopsis:
Anna is an intelligence officer whose last mission claimed the lives of seven people. Drunk, broke and alone, she is given the chance to fulfill one last mission: to seduce and recruit a prized possession linked to the Saudi royal family. As she gets closer and closer to her target, she Anna discovers that she is over her head and she must decide between fulfilling her mission or finding a way to save herself.
It sounds interesting, if a little depressing. If you like movies where spies start finding the line between what they want and their work getting blurry, you might want to check this out. Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think.
