A new poster for Guillermo del Toro’S Frankenstein has been released, giving us the clearest look ever Jacob Elordimonstrous transformation. It was also announced that a new trailer will be released tomorrow.
In the image, Elordi’s creature is high with long and oily hair and a dense fur. The real nightmare is in detail.
His face appears sewn together with pieces not corresponding to decomposition meat and his hand exposed is completely stripped of the skin, leaving the raw tendons on display. It is grotesque, disturbing and exactly the type of bold reinventation that you would expect from Del Toro.
Instead of the classic version of bolts in the neck that we have seen countless times, this creature seems unnerving and a little disturbing.
The director has previously explained that the monster is “stunning, in an otherworldly way. It looks like a newborn and alabaster creature,” he explained. “The scars are beautiful and almost aerodynamic.”
Since the monster is sewn together by multiple corpses, Del Toro has revealed that his skin is a mix of colors. “The shades are pale but almost translucent. It looks like a newly born soul.”
According to the Taurus, the design of the monsters is not designed to be a Freghtening, he said: “Victor is as both an artist as a surgeon, and if this creature is dreaming for his whole life, he will nail it”.
What “did not want was the feeling that you were seeing a victim of accidents that was patches [together]. “But that’s a bit what we are seeing in the image.
The story follows Christoph Waltz Like Dr. Pretorious, a scientist determined to trace the Frankenstein monster, who is believed to have died in a fire 40 years earlier. His mission is to continue the forbidden work of Dr. Victor Frankenstein of Oscar Isaac, pushing the boundaries of life, death and creation itself.
The cast also includes My Goth, Felix Kammerer, Cristiano Convery, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles DanceAND Ralph Inesion.
The film will be released in cinemas on October 17 before hitting Netflix on November 7th.
