Reese Witherspoon He sees a great change coming in the way the films are made and thinks that Hollywood has no choice but to adapt. In a new interview with the New York Times linked to the fourth season of Apple TV+ The morning showWitherspoon opened on how the changing habits of the public and the rise of artificial intelligence will remode the narrative.
The actress and producer indicated the younger generations as a large pilot of change, in particular his children of Gen Z. During the summer, he even launched a label focused on Gen Z in his Hello Sunshine Company to explore new ways to reach that audience.
“I noticed that my children were not going to the cinema. I had teenage children. I went to the cinema every Friday and Saturday evening. Children do not go to the cinema. Usually people see a film a year in the cinemas with their children.
“You have to go where the audience is, do not complain that they did not show up or have what I call” old school-itis “, which is like, well, in my time.
“Well, it doesn’t work in this way! Attention spans are shifting. The way we make films will change radically in the next two or three years.”
When asked if the IA is part of that turn, the Legally blonde Star did not hesitate:
“Mmm-Hmm. Everyone knows it. You just have to understand how it will happen. Because we still have to stratify our conscience and use it as tools. Otherwise it’s just a train on the run.”
This is not the first time that Witherspoon has expressed these thoughts. In a recent history of glamorous cover with its co-protagonists of the Morning Show, it has doubled the importance of adapting to the evolutionary media landscapes.
“I am a very hard worker and I like to change and adapt to new structures and new environments. I can’t wait to be an evolution of the media and how I can help women in those emerging industries. And now we are doing it with AI.
“It is so important that women are involved in artificial intelligence … because it will be the future of cinema. And you can be sad and complain about everything you want, but the change is here.
“It will never be a lack of creativity and ingenuity and the actual physical manual construction of things. It could decrease, but it will always be the utmost importance in art and self -expression.”
The industry continues to fight with the possibilities and the ethical challenges that derive from the edited narration from the AI, but cannot be stopped.
Witherspoon, however, is clear on where it is, the industry must evolve with its audience and embrace new tools or risk being left behind.
