Ash Williams has made his way between the Deadites, the demons and even alternative times, but his next battle could be the strangest. The legend of the horror comedy of evil Dead He is officially crossing paths with Archie Comics in a new wild crossover event.
Fans of evil Dead The franchise knows that Ash is not extraneous to the chaos of the comics. Over the years, she has collaborated with Xena, Vampirella and Red Sonja, and has even taken the Horror Horror weights Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. But now, he is exchanging the cabin in the woods with Frappè to pop and the corridors of Riverdale High.
The project comes from Dynamite Entertainment in collaboration with Archie Comics and promises to bring the horrors of the Necronomicon directly to the unsuspecting city of Riverdale.
Archie and the gang have tangled with supernatural problems before, but this time Ash is bringing his boomstick to keep his morgiti at bay.
Jamie L. Roante, Archie Comics Senior Director of editorial, has made fun of what is in advance, saying:
“Ash Williams saw everything: demonic forces, time travel, monstrous doppelgänger. But Ash could be inside for his hardest battle ever: fighting a horde of Deadites together with a group of teenagers!
“Fortunately, Archie and his friends are not unrelated to the undead. And we could not be more enthusiastic about everyone to see what madness will achieve!”
That “madness” is exactly what fans can expect. The crossover will be a mix of horror and amusement campy, remaining faithful to the unique styles of both franchises.
Nick Barrucci, CEO and Dynamite publisher, also expressed his excitement for the project:
“It is always a real fun to collaborate with other titles in the sector. We are thrilled to have returned to Actor with Archie and the entire Riverdale crew, cooking some exciting stories and more for fans. Conducting with the franchise that started everything to us in Dynamite was the perfect choice.”
With Ash Williams entering Riverdale, readers can’t wait to take advantage of the chainsaw, mortane battles in the high school halls and many exaggerated moments.
It is the type of crossover that I have not seen coming, but now that it is happening, it seems that it could be very fun!
