New Wicked: For a good teaser trailer – “you can’t resist this”

Universal Pictures has dropped a brand new teaser for Wicked: foreverAnd it is arousing even more excitement for the highly anticipated sequel. This is the second chapter of the cinematographic event in two parts, which not only acts as a prequel to Wizard of OzBut also revisited key elements of legendary history.

The first episode was a huge success with fans and critics, obtaining $ 744.07 million all over the world. Even if it has not reached a sign from billions of dollars that some successes have reached, it has still become the most recessed cinematographic adaptation of a Broadway musical of all time.

The new teaser reports the spotlight on friends transformed into Elphaba, played by Cynthia erivoEe Glinda, played by Ariana Grande. Now recognized as the evil witch of the West and the good witch of the East, the two meet after years apart from the opposite sides.

The big question is if their fragile alliance can resist the manipulations of the wonderful wizard of Oz, who seems to pull the ropes and recruit unaware allies for his plans.

Fans who were made fun of in the first film with a moment of Blink-and-You-Miss-It of the Oz Heroes classics will be electrified this time. The teaser takes a poorest look at Spentapasseri, a tin man, Leone Codardo and yes, Dorothy herself with Toto in tow. Their faces are still mostly hidden.

Voices suggest it Alisha Weir (Matilda the musical, Abigail) was chosen as Dorothy, although the study has not yet confirmed it.

Director Jon M. Chu I spoke with Vanity Fair of how these iconic characters intertwine in history:

“That intersection is the place where we have been introduced for the first time in Oz. We are slightly trampled on, but we try to have more sense of how an impact on our girls and characters than the show does. We are delicate. We are delicate. We are delicate.”

With this teaser, Universal is clearly preparing the foundations for a dramatic collision of plots. The Witches, The Wizard and now Dorothy and his companions are all on a path that seems to build something epic.
