The world of Life is strange He is finally making the leap for live-action. Amazon Prime Video has officially illuminated a television adaptation of the 2015 adventure game acclaimed by critics, organizing a new voice in its growing range of projects inspired by video games.
The series will be led by Charlie CovellThe writer behind The end of the fucking world AND Kaoswhich will act as a showrunner and executive producer. The project is produced by Story Kitchen, with Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike GoldbergAND Timothy i. Stevenson attached as executive producers. Square Enix, Luckychap and Amazon MGM will also produce.
This adaptation has been in progress for almost a decade. Square Enix began to pursue a Life is strange Project in 2016 and Hulu even held the rights at a certain point in 2017. Now, Amazon intervened to give life to the series with a creative team firmly in place.

Amazon has also released the official logline for the series, confirming that it will adapt the first game directly:
“[The series follows Max,] A photography student, who discovers he can rewind time while saving the life of his best childhood friend, Chloe.
“While fighting to understand this new ability, the couple investigates the mysterious disappearance of a student partner, discovering a dark side of their city who in the end will force them to make an impossible life or a choice of death that will have an impact forever.”
