Grabber is not over yet. Universal has just released a new trailer for Scott DerricksonThe next horror sequel Black Phone 2And it seems that this time the masked killer is fully going in Freddy Krueger, pursuing his victims in their dreams.
Black Phone 2 was officially slapped by an evaluation R for “strong violent content, gore, use of drugs for teenagers and language”. And if the trailer is something to do, the audience can expect a nightmare in Elm Street style nightmare Ethan HawkeGrabber has returned and claiming new victims.
Here is the official configuration of the story: “Four years ago, the 13 -year -old Finn killed his kidnapper and fled, becoming the only survivor to Grabber. But the real evil transcends death … and the phone is playing again.
“The candidate four times Academy Award® Ethan Hawke returns to the most sinister role of his career while Grabber is looking for revenge on Finn (Mason Thames) by Beyond The Grave as a threatening younger sister of Finn, Gwen (Madeleine Mcgraw).
“Like Finn, now 17 years old, fights with life after his imprisonment, the 15 -year -old fifteen year old starts to receive calls in his dreams from his black phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys who are persecuted in a winter field known as Lake Alpine.
“Determined to solve the mystery and put an end to the torment both for her and for her brother, Gwen convinces Finn to visit the field during a winter storm. There, he discovers a shattered cross between the Grabber and the history of his family.
“Together, she and Finn have to face a killer who has become more powerful in death and more significant for them than he can imagine.”
Black Phone 2 Gather Derrickson with longtime collaborator C. Robert Cargillwho co-scripted the script. Joe HillWho wrote the original story, has returned as an executive producer, ensuring that the sequel remains faithful to its chilling roots.
The first film has become a modern horror success with its mix of supernatural terror and drama of characters on the ground, and it seems that this sequel is increasing even more the nightmare factor with his dream killings.
