The Marvel cinematographic universe is not surprised by surprising us, and it seems Avengers: Doomsday has already passed a little heavy action behind the scenes, thanks to Robert Downey Jr.
According to a recent episode of The Hot Mic Podcast with Jeff Sneider and John Rocha, according to reports, the imminent MCU Epic was subjected to almost a full month of filming. Presumably he was at the request of Downey himself, who is entering the evil role of Dr. Doom.
Sneider explained that during filming, Downey was involved in the project but was not physically belonging to some scenes. Instead, stand-in and compiled doubles while Downey has provided vocal work or read off-sets. But at some point, he realized that he was not cutting him.
As Sneider said: “I heard Doomsday I had to suffer three weeks of shooting at the request of Downey. There were times when Downey would have been present on the set to read the lines for Dr. Doom, but they would not have been involved in the scenes.
“In his place, the body and twice the body would have been in the film. In the end Downey realized that the situation did not work and asked to resume the entire three weeks of scenes, with him in the real doctor from Doctor Doom.”
It is important to note that Sneider has labeled him as a voice, but he would not be so shocking anyway. Filming are part of the normal Marvel process and with a project stacked as Avengers: DoomsdayCourse corrections are probably planned. Sneider also mentioned some general “dysfunctions” on the set, even if it has not entered the details.
Regardless of what is happening behind the scenes, the cast of Avengers: Doomsday It will be enormous. The confirmed return heroes include Chris Hemsworth Like Thor, Pedro Pascal Like Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as an invisible woman, Anthony Mackie Like Captain America, Sebastian Stan Like Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright like Shuri, e Paul Rudd as an ant-man.
The roster continues to grow with Wyatt RussellAmerican agent, Tenoch Huerta Like Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach like the point, Simu Liu Like Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh Like Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer As a beast, Lewis Pullman As Sentry, Danny Ramirez Like Falcon, Joseph Quinn as a human torch, David Harbor like red guardian, Winston Duke Like M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as a ghost, e Tom Hiddleston Like Loki.
Oh, and let’s not forget the X-Men. Avengers: Doomsday will also present the return of Patrick Stewart As Professor X, Ian McKellen Like Magneto, Alan Cumming Like NightCrawler, Rebecca Romijn As mystical, James Marsden as cyclops, e Channing Tatum like Gambit.
Avengers: Doomsday It is currently scheduled for cinemas on December 18, 2026.
