Thunderbolts director* says that the things of the Bob/Yelena ship are cute but does not see them romantically

From the release of Marvel’s Thunderbolts*Some fans have vowel in expressing their hope for a bob/yelena relationship. In the film, it was Yelena (Florence Pugh) who gave Bob (Lewis Pullman) an opportunity to share how he felt, free from judgment.

Then he followed him in his darkest moment to be a friend and help him know that he was not alone. The film concerned the difficult parts of life and the friendships that support us, but some spectators thought that perhaps there was a possibility for Yelena and Bob that they have more.

The director of the film, Jake SchreierHe plundered the idea in a recent interview with Collider, where he said:

“I saw Boblena’s things. I think it’s really nice. I don’t consider it a romantic relationship, personally. But I think we knew that Lewis and Florence have a chemistry, regardless of whether it is a romantic chemistry or not, that relationship is so central for the film that it is not a bad thing to have a certain quantity.”

He continued to say:

“We were very clear that there has never been a discussion on, how, ‘is it romantic or not?’ I don’t think we wanted to wear that being there for the other in darker times and the way everyone connects to that idea.

“You have these great actors and so few narrative properties to build this connection between them before they are a little torn, and therefore that connection will determine the end of the film.

“Getting their relationship well is so important … if we had understood well, people will have fun looking at them together. And the internet is the internet.”

I took the atmosphere of friendship from the film and the combination. I can’t wait to see all Thunderbolts Avengers: Doomsdaywhich is destined to hit the screens on 18 December 2026.
