New details for the adventure: Fionna and Cake Season 2 reveal a return to “normal, but it is still quite strange”

Ooo’s land is mixing again, although perhaps not in the way fans expect. At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival this year, Adventure time: Fionna and Cake I took the spotlight together with some of the heaviest cartoon networks.

While the event did not drop a new trailer or a premiere date for season 2, it revealed some interesting details on what is coming for the sloppy duo of the genre.

Showrunner Adam Muto He was at hand to preview the future of the series and, although the movie has not yet made his way online, Muto confirmed a movement of the direction from the multivile madness of season 1.

This time, Fionna and Cake remained. Or at least, attaching himself to the original universe of Fionna. Muto explained:

“This time, we wanted to keep most of the adventures in the world of Fiona and I thought it would make it more normal. But it is still quite strange. And this is a little cooked in the DNA of the adventure time.”

Strange is certainly the atmosphere and fans would not have in any other way. It has also been revealed that the show will see the return of adventure Time’s Huntress Wizard, who, if you remember, once had a romantic plot with Finn in the original series.

He is entering an important role in season 2, although exactly as he will interact with Fionna, Cake and this slightly off-kilter version of “Normal” is still under invocation.

It was also announced that Steven Universe Creator Sugar Rebecca He appeared in the crowd to announce that he had written an original song for season 2.

Season 1 of Fionna and cake He took some wild oscillations with multival chaos, existential themes and nostalgia that tears the heart. Now, season 2 is preparing to be a little more rooted, but not less surreal because we are real, “normal” in Adventure time The universe will always be a little strange.

And that’s exactly how fans like it.
