We are talking about the wild and chaos that end for 28 years later

I loved the end of 28 years later. Was it crazy? Absolutely. Was it a clean resolution? Not even close. But that’s what made him so damn exciting. Danny Boyle I have not just returned to this world to play it safe, he and the writer Alex Garland He snatched everything and left me on the wreck, smiling and excited about what will come later.

Now look, I understand, not everyone will be on board how it envelops this story. It is not an orderly ending. It is a punk-rock cliffhanger that ends a chapter, not a complete arc. This is because this film is the first of a planned trilogy, with 28 years later: The Bone Temple Already in line for January 2026 and knowing that the ending makes more sense.

We break down this chaos … full spoiler in front.

The last stretch of the film sees the young Spike returning to the mainland after bringing the child born to his house. It is a complicated and emotional choice, which is clearly in rejecting his violent and foreign father, Jamie.

So far, so tragic. But then … here comes Jack O’Connell in a dream of neon -colored fever. He introduces himself to lead a band of Bonkers in Tecnicolor suits. The character looks like Spike is chased by infected.

After Spike cleverly manages to eliminate a couple with the arch and arrows, O’Connel politely recognizes his ability and asks if he and his crew can jump inside to help finish the job.

Spike agrees and move happily down from the chase infected with anger with happy energetic violence. It’s an incredibly fun moment and I instantly like these new characters! It is also here to learn that O’Connell is Jimmy.

Jimmy has been the child since the beginning of the film. The boy who looked at his mom and friends to pieces by the infested infesters while he and many other children are watching the teles. The one whose mad father priest handed him a cross in the middle of madness before testifying that he was attacked. So what the hell happened to this guy!?

There are thin breadcrumbs throughout the film. At the beginning, Spike and his father Jamie discover a man hanging at his feet with the letters “Imy” carved in the chest. The complete “j” is not visible, but come on … we know who it is. Later, when Spike travels with Isla, “Jimmy” is painted on the side of a shed like a post-apocalyptic graffiti tag.

Jimmy thrives in this world and seems to have embraced madness and enjoys himself. He is charismatic, terrifying and is managing his violent crew, who all has a hair style similar to the personality of the British media Jimmy Savile, a controversial figure in the British media.

Savile had a huge influence on children in the United Kingdom, but it was not until 2012 where it was revealed that she sexually abused hundreds of people for life, mostly children. He was known for his eccentric image and was respected for his charity work. 28 years after iIt knows different world, however, and with the virus epidemic that takes place in 2002, Jimmy Gowing is likely to drop on the ISPLAND Quantge, it may not be aware of the dark past of Savil.

I should also emphasize that Jimmy wears a purple suit and the rest of the JimMys wears similar clothes that are red, yellow and green. They wear the colors of the teles in soft fabrics that suggest the touch of their branded toys.

To bring that connection to the film, the music of young fathers who sounds during the battle, pays homage to Teletuli Since it is the hard rock cover of the musical theme of the show.

They are also fighting in the style of the Power Rangers and if you remember soon in the film, Spike has a Power Rangers action figure who has almost brought with him on his journey as a right of passage. It will find common ground with this group.

While O’Connell is accredited as only Jimmy in the film, his band is credited as Jimmy Ink, Jimmy Jones, Jimmy Snake, Jimmy Site and Jimmy Fox. Jimmy seems to have commemorated his childhood and built a new family.

Now Spike, who already has problems of abandonment and trust, is captured in this fantastic madness. A completely new world and a way of doing things have been introduced to Spike and I can’t wait to see where this leads him.

Jamie’s refusal by his son cuts in depth. So what will he do now? Follow him? Burn the mainland on the ground? We don’t know. And the infected girl, born to parents infected with anger, but somehow non -infected is a detail that changes the game. What does this mean for the virus? Is immunity possible? Is it a cure, a key or a new type of threat?

And then there is the entire thing of the bone temple, which is the subtitle of the second film. This is obviously based on Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) Disturbing bone architecture and philosophical digressions, and it looks like a first place to start a cult. Are we about to enter the territory of religious terror? Will Spike introduces this band of infected assassins to Dr. Kelson? Will Jimmy become a paternal figure from Spike?

In addition, we were told that Jim, Cillian Murphy’s survivor OG 28 days later, will present himself in the next film. It will be really interesting to see how it is incorporated into history!

Boyle made fun of the way Garland launched the first two films, saying: “The first script concerns the nature of the family and the second film about the nature of evil.”

Honestly, I left the theater with my head that turned, and I mean this as a compliment. Boyle and Garland turned on this franchise on fire, gave us a game and asked if we wanted more.

Carry on The bone temple!
