Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Fans have accepted the sweet and sour news that the series will end after five seasons. But while this may seem the end of the road, the show creative team is not ready to put their phasers away, in fact, they could already have an intelligent solution to maintain the mission.
At the Premiere of Season 3 in New York, executive producers Akiva Goldsman AND Henry Alonso Myers open on what is the next. As a question because it was time to announce the end, Goldsman explained:
“It has just happened. The truth is that we have been, from the beginning, hoping in a five -year mission. And that was the plan, but you don’t have to wear your welcome.
“And the people who determine whether or not you come out your welcome [are the ones] who pay. And so, they gave us this fifth seasoned season on the heel to give us a fourth season. Nothing remains a secret “.
This was not entirely their choice as Paramount called The Shot, and while the series will complete the five -year mission that initially hoped, it is not necessarily the Sendoff that the creators wanted.
However, both Goldsman and Myers have clarified that they have not finished dreaming. To the question about where the Star Trek The universe could go from here, Myers replied:
“I don’t know. I know Alex [Kurtzman] It will make “Starfleet Academy”. But my attention is singular. They are always “strange new worlds”. But I would like to take us to the limit of [‘The Original Series’] And then ask someone to call us and say: “Now do that show!” “
This is when Goldsman stopped saying:
“We literally have a fantastic cast and we have incredible sets and we have all these things right there – it is a shame to waste it.”
The idea here is simple, if the paramount is ending Strange new worldsPerhaps they will let the same team roll directly in a spiritual sequel, which takes place in the era of the original series with the current cast already in progress. It looks like a great idea and that Strange New World fans embrace.
They have Ethan Peck As spock, Paul Wesley Like Kirk and set of wonderfully detailed companies ready for use. Why break down everything when they simply keep the trip to a different title?
Regardless of the fact that the Paramount bites or not, it is clear that Goldsman and Myers is setting the table. They are not asking fans to say goodbye. Not yet. They hope to pass the torch without ever publishing it.
