He is not just a child, in the end he inherits his father’s transmutation powers. His inclusion here implies that Metamorpho plays a much bigger role in Luthor’s plot and may not be a lateral character as we thought initially.

Heat the vision and fly in action

Superman did not hold back in the action scenes and give an excellent look at his vision of the heat that illuminates some armored goons. It is not a new power, of course, but it is nice to see Gunn leaning on the classic Kryptonian kit. The effects of the vision of heat seem even more clear and more visceral than the past iterations. Gunn clarified him on social media, saying: “The creature is called Mr. Handome, and yes, it is a creation of lexcorp”. That name alone tells us that Gunn is having fun, but not to be fooled. Mr. Handsome seems dangerous.

Luthor birds of prey

Lex is not just designing in solitude. He has an elite team of armored soldiers nicknamed the “Raptors”, and triggers them on Superman with Metamorpho in tow. There is a particularly intense moment in which Luthor is in the fortress of solitude and declares: “Now, as expected, I will destroy you”. Classic Luthor with a terrifying modern edge.

Ultraman … or ultrahumanite?

There is a moment of blink of eyelashes that involves a completely armored villain, which later removes their helmet to reveal what looks like a humanoid monkey. The fans were immediately skipped in Ultraman, but toys losses suggest that it is also known as the Boravia hammer.
