Kevin Feige suggests that the big four fantastic four teases around may not be what we think

Marvel fans thought they understood everything later Thunderbolts* It ended with that drop of a post-cried scene. It presents a mysterious ship that enters the atmosphere of the land-616, just as the new Avengers were still struggling to win public trust.

Of course, speculation exploded … were the four fantastic four who finally came from a dying reality? And why shouldn’t we think about it!? The ship had a large Fantastic Four logo on the side!

But Kevin Feige It is here to cool our jets a little.

In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, at the head of Marvel Studios it was asked if that ship was Excelsior, the profession of the first Marvel family. His answer? Classic Feige Miscief:

“Well, the name of their ship is Excelsior and there is a fantastic four ship that enters the MCU in the tag, but I’m not sure they are the same ship.”

Not. The. Same. Ship?

This implies that the Fantastic Four may not be on that ship, and if they are not on board, then who is it? There are some possibilities that are launched online.

A theory is that the Fantastic Four sent Franklin Richards alone, perhaps to escape Dr. Doom and prevent him from getting his hands on Multiverse’s Warping powers. Another is that Doom himself has stolen Excelsior and is using Reed Richards’ technology to break through the multivaleal veil.

This would fully turn the script … imagine waiting for you the first Marvel family walking from the ship and instead gets Victor Von Doom, and Victor Von Doom who resembles exactly Tony Stark.

Whatever the truth, The Fantastic Four: First Stepswhich falls next month, it is not guaranteed to respond. That teased can be a slow burn, preparing for something much bigger in Avengers: Doomsday.

Feige’s cryptic word game is not new. But if there is one thing we can count on, it is that the truth will come with some multival consequences.
