For almost forty years, the Predator He was the last hunter of the galaxy. A ruthless and unstoppable force that has always been the villain of history. The film follows Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamaangi Like Dek, a young predatory desperate predator to demonstrate his value for his father. His mission takes him to one of the most fatal planets in the galaxy, where he starts to hunt the most dangerous creature imaginable.
To survive, it forms an unlikely partnership with Thia, a damaged android Weyland-Yutani played by Elle Fanning. At a certain point in the story, Thia loses her legs and dek literally takes her on the back as they cross the hellish ground of the planet.
According to the official synopsis: “In the future on a remote mortal remote planet, Badlands follows a young man marginalized by predators (played by the newcomer Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamaangi) who finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Emmy and Golden Globe Fanning Elle) while embarking on a trachy journey in the search for ultimate.”
The new trailer of the 20th century Studios offers us our best look in what is in store, and it is really fantastic. We see Dek’s struggle to balance his primordial instinct with an authentic emotion, something that has never been explored in this franchise before.
Director Dan Trachtenbergwhich previously revitalized the series with PreyClearly he wants the public to try for this predator. There is a true emotional nucleus here that distinguishes Badlands from everything we saw before.
Then there are the creatures, which are enormous, terrifying and well designed. The trailers suggest that Dek’s target could be the colossal creature of pointed gorilla, but it could only be an intelligent direction error. There could be something deadly waiting in the shadows.
The trailer also reveals that Dek is not only in this hunt since a group of other characters is made fun of in history. There is a lot to do in this trailer and opens many more questions about history and how these mysterious new characters fit and whether Dek’s hunt will lead to triumph or tragedy.
With Predator: BadlandsTrachtenberg seems ready to expand the mythology of the Predator universe in new wild and exciting ways. A hero of including predators, terrifying new monsters and a dangerous alien world make it all one of the most exciting science fiction versions of the year.
