THE Buffy The Vampire Slayer Revival is currently being developed, but a lot of details that circulate apparently online are not legitimate.
Sarah Michelle Gellar I just eliminated the air during an interview with Elite Daily, putting an end to the speculation aroused by a largely shared breakdown. His straightforward answer says everything:
“These are all false characters. That thing that has been released is all false.”
It was said that the details are said to have focused on Nova, a vampire hunter at high school. “Determined and fearless. The new Slay-in-Training.” It has been reported that Gellar will not be the central figure of the series, but rather a guiding presence as a mentor of Nova.
The relationship even included a complete range of new characters, casting breaks and points of the plot that seemed quite credible to allow the Internet to hook it and share it. But now, Gellar’s declaration officially calls everything as a fan fiction.
When we talk about how this project has been united, Eric SchrierDisney’s head of television studios says it all started when it is Hulu’s Karey Burke AND Simran Sethi approaching Nomadland director Chloé zhaoWho seems to be a big one Buffy fan.

Gellar shared his side of the story in a heartfelt Instagram post, explaining how the tone of Zhao was the first that he has never really considered to revisit the world of Buffy.
“Three years ago, I received a call from my dear friend and mentor, Gail Berman. He told me he wanted me to sit with Chloé Zhao to hear it take a potential Buffy Revival …
“In the end I agreed to go (mainly just to meet Chloé) and our twenty minutes coffee quickly turned into a four -hour adventure … while I had not accepted anything in that meeting, I shocked by accepting to continue the conversation.
“These conversations have continued in the coming years … I have always listened to fans and I have heard your desire to revisit Buffy And his world, but it was not something I could do unless I was sure we would have understood well.
“This has been a long trial, and it is not over yet. I promise you, we will make this show only if we know that we can do it well … thanks to all the fans who have never stopped asking for this. This will be for you.”
There are still no official casting, no pilot filmed and no news that other og are likeders Alyson Hannigan OR David Boreanaz it could enter. But Charisma carpenter showed interest, saying:
“From what I understand, at the moment there is not even a pilot, so I hope – if I am involved – I hope it somehow is more substantial. It would be my dream.”
Right now, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (Shield agents, Poker face) I am showrunning, Chloé Zhao is destined to direct the pilot and Gellar is on board as an executive manufacturer together with a power team that includes Gail BermanFran e Kaz Kuzuiand even Dolly Parton.
