Dave Filoni I took the stage at the star Wars celebration to share a preview Ahsoka Season 2, made fun of fans with a shocking concept trailer for the next season. But while the crowd buzzed for the return of Ahsoka, Collider met strands to talk about something that fans are even more curious, his long manager Star Wars Movies.
If you followed Star Wars shows on Disney+, you already know there is a bigger game played. The Mandalorian, AhsokaAnd other series of spin -offs have slowly put together a story set in the following chaotic era Return of the JediAnd Filoni’s film should be the main crossover event that binds everything together.
When asked about the state of the project, Filoni explained why time is taking time:
“It is a long development. One of the reasons why I like to work on very large arches, and I try to take into account all the things I am creating simultaneously and looking at them and I say:” Well, how do we do the unique things? What are the unique sets and where is the story going? What is the game of history? “”
Filoni is not dealing with this as a unique Star Wars story. It is thinking more like a great strategy, playing 4D spatial chess with timing and characters that embrace more series.
“I wonder these questions. I have general contours for all these things, general timing for all these things. I continue to move the pieces on the scoreboard for a great strategy. This is how I have always worked since I started Clone WarsAnd I arrived at the end of that series finally. “
This approach means that the film is still in a fluid phase. Filoni admitted that what is happening in Ahsoka Season 2 could move things to the film. The stories are connected and what happens in one could echo in the other.
“You keep it in your mind in the future as you work on the present. So, right now, I will be in season 2 [of Ahsoka]And while those stories develop, it could change the things that would influence what is happening in the future and what I would do.
“Sometimes, it’s a balance act, but I work constantly, training scenes. I know different scenes and where they should, so you simply enter it while you go.”
So, while we may not have a title or an release date, Filoni is creating this story with precision and will be a Star Wars Event designed to bring together years of arches of characters and galactic tension. I am excited to see what ends up to deliver.
