Justin Lin is collaborating with Keanu Reeves for Netflix’s film adaptation Brzrkr

Fast and furious veteran Justin Lin is entering the brutal world soaked in blood Brzrkr, Keanu Reeves’Hit Comic Book Series, which is adapted in a live movie for Netflix.

Lin will direct and produce the film, meet with Reeves, who not only staries in the film but also acts as a producer together with Stephen Christy (Boom! Studies) ,, Stephen Hamel (Company movie), AND Ross Richie.

The project marks another collaboration between Lin and Reeves, which recently supported the director’s indie drama Last dayswhich was previewed in Sundance at the beginning of this year. Now, the duo is immersing himself in the violent and epic saga Brzrkrscripted by The Batman 2 co-writer Mattson Tomlin.

According to Netflix, the story is described as a “brutally epic saga on the struggle of 80,000 years of an immortal warrior over the centuries. The man known only as” B “is half a mortal and a half God, cursed and forced to violence, also to the sacrifice of his health.

“But after having wandered for the earth for centuries, B could finally have found a refuge – working on the United States government to combat battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. Reeves originally created the concept and history, collaborating with the artist Ron Garney and writer appointed to Eisner Matt Kindt (Mind mgmt). The first issue of the comic became one of the best sellers in a decade, moving over 600,000 copies, with the series as a whole that exceeded 3.5 million copies all over the world through individual numbers, collected and special editions.

THE Brzrkr The universe is expanding beyond the film. A novel entitled The book of elsewhereco-scored by Reeves e China Miévillehas become a New York Times bestseller in 2024.

A spin -off anime, written by Tomlin, is also in the processing, with the merchandising managed by the developer of the IMG brand. Adam Yoelin is executive production for Boom! Studies.
