Paramount+ has released two new teaser trailer for their next series Make happyBased on the wild story of The Happy Face Killer and his daughter. The show is the protagonist Annaleigh Ashford Like Melissa Moore, e Dennis Quaid Like Keith Hunter Jesperson, with James Wolk, David Harewood, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla AynneAND Benjamin Mackey.
Make happy It is written and showrun from Jennifer Cacicio (Shooter, Your Honor). It was developed by Robert King, Michelle King and Jennifer Cacicio, with the writing of Ovest Craig-Galvan, Bam Johnson and Adam Toltzis. The show is inspired by the story in Melissa Moore’s “Shattered Silence”, with episodes directed by Michael Showalter and Darren Grant.
The synopsis reads: “Make happy It is inspired by the history of the true life of Melissa G. Moore; and the acclaimed podcast of Happy Face of IheartPodcast and Moore; And the shattered autobiography, written by Moore with M. Bridget Cook. At 15, Moore discovered that his beloved father was the prolific serial killer known as Happy Face.
“As an adult, he changed his name and protected his secret while his father served his life in prison. By jumping away from the history of Moore’s true life, the Paramount+ Original series follows Melissa (Ashford) and his imprisoned father, also known as Happy Face Killer (Quaid).
“After decades without contact, he finally finds a way to force himself into his daughter’s life. In a race against the clock, Melissa must find out if an innocent man will be put to death for a crime he has committed. He also discovers the impact that his father has had on the families of his victims and has to face a reckoning of his identity. “
I know this case, while listening to the podcast “Happy Face”, and was also covered in my favorite podcast, “My favorite murder”, episode 257. It is very interesting to listen to it from the daughter’s point of view. This series has a nice appearance and as if it shed light on the case in one way.
Take a look at the trailers below and start watching Make happy On Paramount+ March 20. The first two episodes will be previewed that day and the remaining six will fall weekly until May 1st.
