Roseanne Barr He is trying to return to TV with a new comic series with which he wrote Roseanne AND Arli $$ Alum Allan Stephan.
The new series will be four to six episodes and is described as “a cross between The Roseanne Show AND The soprani. “
The show will focus on a farmer of small towns in Alabama who “saves the United States from drugs of drugs and China”. The main character also delights in the cultivation and sale of drugs such as cannabis and magical mushrooms.
Barr said about the series: “It’s foolish and out there. [It will contain] Very offensive ideas and a lot of curses. I live with my daughter and husband and their children in a farm.
“And they have goats that run through their home and things like that. It is based on my life as a farmer in Hawaii. They save America with pistols, the Bible, the petty crime and alcoholism. It is a bit like the thing of the Coen brothers. “
Barr says that the series will follow a family with similarities with the Conners, the clan present in its two shows. She explains:
“There is a scene in which I have to tie myself in a corset. My nephew helps me, and then I go to the city to flirt with all the shopkeepers who are only grotesque people. It is just a kind of cartoon. “
This project comes after Barr was fired by Roseanne by Disney in 2018 and will soon be purchased around Hollywood.
He said: “If Hollywood does not buy it, then I will do it alone. Anyone in [Hollywood] Like America or people watching TV? Because people watching TV would really like to watch a show in which people in the working class win against America’s enemies. “
