Last year, Super Evil Megacorp released Turtles Ninja Mutants teenagers: chipped destiny On Nintendo Switch and finally PC. So, this last week or so, they dropped a new DLC for the Rogue: Casey Jones and Junkyard Jam.
The DLC is now available with a recommended price of $ 6.99 and includes some fun additions. The team was kind enough to provide me with a DLC review code for PC, but all the thoughts below are mine. First of all, we will discuss what the DLC is and then I will deepen my thoughts.
Casey Jones will join the combat in the Ninja turtles Ninja Mutants teenagers: the first DLC of Sprinted Fate, Casey Jones and The Junkyard Jam. Fight through the landfill, faces new enemies and bosses and collect new powerful artifacts. He moves hard by Maestro Casey and collaborate with the cooperative turtles to face the punk frogs!
First of all, Casey Jones is now a playable character who uses his trusted hockey stick for Bludgeon on Ninja, Ratti, Mouser and more. In addition, there is a new side story that revolves around Casey and its car that takes you to a new area, the landfill, where you will have to face the punk frogs which also means new enemies and bosses to beat. In addition, with a new character, this means that there are some new artifacts, updates and skills to learn and master.
Before I get much further away, I want to clarify a couple of things. My initial review for Chipped destiny It was on the Nintendo Switch. The Super Evil Megacorp team was kind enough to provide me with a DLC code and a basic game code on PC so that you can start playing before the official version.
However, this meant that I was starting from scratch and therefore I was unable to explore the DLC as much as I had hoped for time. In addition, it is worth noting that all my gameplay was on the Steam Oled deck and worked perfectly at 90 frames per second in single player.
All this takes me to my first positive point for Casey Jones and Junkyard Jam. You don’t have to have played the game much to access the DLC content. From my experience, it seems that you immediately have access to Casey Jones from the beginning and you can start going to Junkyard to your first or second heat.
All you have to do is defeat Krai and therefore you can choose to go to the street or in the landfill. Having said that, I felt like the landfill was more difficult than the roads for what is worth. It is fun because you will come across Mouser who have Mohawk Viola and things like that.
Another advantage is that when you play online, your group can enjoy all DLC content as long as the host has access to it. This can actually allow friends to try the content before buying it alone, which is not a terrible idea.
Now let’s talk about Casey’s playing style. As you could suppose correctly, it is very aggressive. His hockey stick gives him a good range and has a decent power from the beginning. So, his starting tool gives him a temporary thrust to the damage and recharge your special more quickly.
Obviously, the biggest thing that distinguishes it is its first inspiration that applies the break when using its special and therefore the enemies suffer more damage for a short period after being hit. In addition, his special is a distance attack in which he hits the enemies with a hockey disc that is fun.
At the end of the day, I think this Casey Jones and Junkyard Jam It is really an almost perfect DLC for chipped fate. Adds a new character, a new position, new enemies, etc. And it makes them quickly accessible. In addition, everything is optional.
Don’t you want to use Casey? Fantastic, choose your favorite turtle. Don’t you want to visit the landfill? Fantastic news, you can instead go to the street. All this is highlighted by a reasonable price (in my opinion) by about $ 7. If you like the game, I would recommend the DLC because it is only more than the game.
