The first season of Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew concluded with a thrilling and satisfying ending. This show was a fun ride and the way it ended its story was thrilling. I also like the little details about how it connected to the larger Star Wars universe.
Whether we get a second season or not, this chapter feels complete. The finale focused on Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) and the final clash of the young troupe in At Attin.
The stakes were high! With fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and his mother Fara (Kerry Condon) held hostage, Jod lowered the planet’s barrier to allow pirates to enter and plunder the Republic credits stored there.
Each character played an important role in stopping Jod. Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) used his knowledge of turbolaser batteries to fight pirates.
Kb (Kyriana Kratter) piloted the Onyx Cinder out of the barrier to send a message for help. Fern was able to convince her to intervene and help in the group’s efforts, and Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) found the courage to become the hero.
Their teamwork earned them a hard-fought victory.
One of the big revelations came from Jod’s confrontation with the Overseer, voiced by Stephen Fry. When Jod claimed to be a Jedi and used his lightsaber, the Overseer revealed an interesting piece of information.
He had received a Republic transmission labeling the Jedi as traitors, a message that could only have come from Sheev Palpatine during his rise to power.
This suggested that Attin was a secret known to the Republic and Palpatine. If Palpatine had managed to overcome the barrier and reach Attin, it means that this mythical planet may have been part of his grand strategy.
Perhaps he had designed it as a tool for future projects or as a hidden reserve of resources. It makes sense that Palpatine knew the planet as another secret resource at his disposal that he could use when he needed it.
This information adds an interesting layer to Palpatine’s legacy, reminding us how profoundly his influence shaped the world Star Wars galaxy. This was a fun way to expand on the Star Wars myths.
